Friday
Ah, Friday was nice.
It was my sisters birthday. I ended up eating alot of cake, a lot of pizza, and drinking alot of soda/juice punch. Later on I played chess, and lost miserably twice in a row, due to completely idiot moves on my behalf. I blame it on the head cold that was attacking me at the time.
Ester was kind enough to invite me to hang out with her and Amy, but I never called her back due to lack of hours in the day, and due to the general lazy nature of the Rystic species.
On the way to the opera I am currently in, I stopped by at the bookstore and bought Criptonomicon, which I happened to stumble over while looking for another book. When I saw it, I remembered either harb or kitten (I can’t remember which) reccomending it to me. Them having pointed me in the right direction in the past, I decided to buy it. So far I am only on page 86 or so, and while the beginning was a bit confusing, it’s now picking up some speed.
Anyway, back to Friday now. After arriving at the opera, I talked with one of the chorus members and she asked what was new in life, and I told her that i was now 16. Before I could say another word the whole cast started singing the most amazing rendition of “happy birthday” that I have ever heard. So that was definitely the highlight of the day.
