thought on life

Written Friday June 21st /today:

Today was the first day of summer, but I wouldn’t have known it if I hadn’t known it. One minute it’s warm and sunny, the next it’s cold and foggy. At the moment, it’s very cold, and very foggy.

As I look out of this train window into the cold foggy world outside, I can see the cars rushing speedily by, and it reminds me of people and their lives.

Ever rushing, stressing, pushing for more. Now, all that work does make for a higher standard of living, but if everyone is always working for the new higher standard, then who is experiencing the supposed happiness that all of this work is supposed to bring?

I think what I am trying to get at is that a lot of people don’t know how to relax nowadays, and that’s a bad thing, so my advice to anyone who reads this, is this: read it again tomorrow, then go down to your local coffee shop, and take a 30 minute break from whatever you are doing.

Adios, until next time.
