Regarding the whole Windows versus Mac argument. I was having a talk with a group of friends the other day about why I prefer the Macintosh and Apple as a company in general, and instead of listening to my points and comparing them with what they already knew about Windows/Microsoft, they took the exact stance described so well by well-known Mac user/blogger John Gruber. And now, an excerpt:

bq. “… the problem is when someone who doesn’t perceive any difference [between the operating systems] decides that since they don’t perceive the difference, then there must not exist any difference. and that’s exactly the angle taken by most of the pc industry media, and, even worse, those moronic “industry analysts” employed on wall street. ”

It’s sad that people are so close-minded about these things. Oh well.
