Its a rather interesting phenomenon. At the end of every school year, students across the US are dying for school to be out. The weather is warm, the sun is shining and the pool is heated again. Granted, there are exceptions to this rule, but I feel safe in saying that most students are excited for school to be out. I am among this group. I await every summer with anticipation because I am looking forward to launching into all sorts of summer projects. With all the time I have on my hands, I like doing some home improvement projects. For some reason, home improvement leaves me with the greatest feeling of satisfaction and a sense of having completed a task. This past weekend, I worked with my dad (or my dad worked with me, depending on who you ask) on installing a water heater. Granted, this was something that had to be done, and not something that we just did for fun, but it feels very satisfying to have finished it nonetheless.

Well, that all got blown out the barn doors by a giant atomic bomb tonight. So, it looks like I will be spending the entire summer devoted to writing outlines for potential application essay questions so I will have outlines to refer to. Perhaps even better would be if I made myself a book of generic essays that I could use so that for each application I wouldn’t have to write an essay but just attach one of 6 that fit generic question types. That would be rather convenient. How I plan to motivate myself to do this I have no idea, but perhaps just the thought of frittering away my entire summer sitting around will be motivation enough.

Speaking of college, if there is anyone, _anyone_ who has any information about the status of technology stuff at colleges, if you could leave a comment with URL’s or contact info, it would be greatly appreciated
