First things first, I finally finished my Brown ED application on Friday. *cheers* Now I only have six (or is it seven?) interminable weeks to wait with my fingers and toes crossed that I get a fat packet.
First things second, Matrix Revolutions is coming out at 6AM PST this Wednesday. I don’t have advanced tickets, only because my schedule on wednesday completely prevents me from going. I am really bummed, but hopefully I will get an opportunity to see it sometime soon after its release. I am so glad the wait hasn’t been too terribly long for revolutions, because I don’t know what I would do if it was coming out 3 years later. When I first saw posters for it, I was stricken with panic when I read “11.05″and immediately thought “oh crap, you’ve got to be kidding me…they pushed it back to 2005?” I must have been unusually tired…or at least that’s my excuse. And now onto the real news of the week.
I was sitting at the kitchen table across from my mom mulling through ads looking for various electronic bits I’ve been idly shopping for since I first had the good mind to buy one and I caught myself humming some christmas song. I don’t know what the name of it is, and I only know a couple of lines of words to it, yet I was humming away as I turned the pages. Suddenly it struck me…its only the first week in November and I am already humming christmas tunes to myself. I had just been talking to the mokka about how much I like the winter holiday season and how I like seeing the holiday shoppers all wrapped up in scarves and hats and holding each other’s gloved hands as they muse through barnes and noble looking for the best book for the ubiquitous “mother-in-law”. Perhaps that cookbook she’s been talking about for the past 5 visits? I try my best to see through the lines, the complaining, the crying children, the crying parents, the bickering with customer service people…to the nature of holiday, to give gifts.
More frequent and higher-quality blogging to come, now that I am not neck deep in shet-de-do (shit to do).

good luck on your brown application!
i also especially enjoy the holidays if the winter olympics are going on. for the international sportsmanship, not the international scandal.
