a new world
The MT login page queries “Remember me?” to remember my password on this computer. Even if I had activated it, I am not sure MT would remember me anyway.
This is so cool. Maybe I am really slow on the uptake, which is often the case, but it seems new to me. I am not a fan of Net News Wire and such products that capture and sort RSS feeds, but I know a lot of people are, and this might just make me go back to nnw.
And please, for god’s sakes, don’t shake it like a polaroid picture, you’ll get blobs. How technical…blobs…
I should probably fill everyone in on what I’ve been doing, since it clearly hasn’t been blogging. I have only properly posted once since mwsf and that post fell prey to a…bad person. I’ve had all my “free” time used up by this lovely thing called Diversity Day. On March 17th, we are having a “diversity day” at my school to promote discussion about “diversity”, whatever that means. Anyway, I am in charge of gathering signups from participants, placing all 550 of them into discussion groups, and then assigning each discussion group to a room. I am also in charge of placing a facilitator pair with each group. This has consumed much of my time in the past two weeks. What of it was left was used for candygrams, the primary fundraiser for Brotherhood/Sisterhood each year. Candygrams are overpriced valentines that only people at a school like Lakeside would be lazy enough to buy, but that’s ok, because we make a lot of money off of that laziness. We have to sell them 3 times a day for a week and a half, then package all of them and stuff them in boxes. I had to acquire all the candy (car and huge checking account balance) and sell multiple times to cover for people who didn’t show.
I’m still supposed to be taking 5 classes and ASL, but that’s some kind of sick joke. Most everything fell apart the last week, so thank god we have this break. I’ve not blogged until now because I’ve been…well…taking time to do things I want to do. I have seen one movie since Thanksgiving break, watched virtually no TV, completed all of 15 pages of personal reading and made no progress on anything I’ve wanted to do. I got to clean my room, and do some work on my car, and read, and do all sorts of things. I needed to catch up on my life for a moment, since I know this won’t last long. I have four weeks left of ASL and only 5 until we don’t have classes again (Project Week) and hopefully then I can go on a college visit or do something mindless. Project Week, Spring Break, and then its all downhill from there.
