In my search for bags, I came across this nifty bag. It certainly seems like an excellent idea in theory, I am not sure it would work too well, at least on a college campus, in practice. There are several things placing your laptop at risk when its in a pizza box. First, is when your roommate is around and some guys come in and see the pizza. They take it to the common room and leave it there to eat later…and the laptop has “disappeared”. Or someone might see it and mistake it for pizza they just ate and throw it away. Regardless, I don’t think its the wisest idea around hungry college students…but still very cool.

I just ordered my new computer for college. I am inappropriately enthusiastic for its arrival. It is, of course, dampened a little by the fact that I have to go pick it up in Oregon. But that also means I get to visit my first cousin once removed (at least, I think that’s how we’re related). Anyway, buying all this new stuff for college has been rather fun. Now I have the wireless mouse I’ve been desiring for years, and a laptop that I’ve wanted ever since my mom had to return her PowerBook 5300. I loved the PowerBook 5300. Even though it was supposed to be my mom’s work computer, she used our Performa most of the time, so I got to play with her laptop, which was faster and nicer than our Performa anyway.

For not having posted in…at least a month, I feel like I should have something astonishing or profound to say, and that’s part of what has kept me from posting for so long. I wanted to burst back on the scene with some profound revelation, like the fact that peas would grow faster and bigger on mars than here on earth, according to scientists conducting computer simulations at Harvard. Sounds exciting, eh? Bigger peas. Everyone wants a 38% bigger pea. After all, it would be juicier than the normal earth variety, to be sure. And Harvard scientists take note, if it had fewer carbs, it would be more popular than your average pea.
