and we roll on…
It just struck me how many post titles I want to end with an ellipsis. It really is some kind of weird compulsion. I should probably stop. But I just can’t help myself. And while I am sure talking about ellipses like this gets every last blog reader excited, I will do my best to restrain myself for the rest of this post.

As per ester’s kind and gentle requests, I will try to cover some of our “exploits”, as it were, now that the jesse and the chioke are actually within speaking range of each other…and for more than 18 hours.
I’ve spent a lot of time waiting for Jesse to wake up. The whole theater sleep schedule plus not having coffee is really taking a toll on him. I feel a little bit bad waking him up at 10, even after I’ve been up for two hours. I think if I reminded him that he said he would go on runs with me in the morning, he would definitely rethink that now.
Since Jesse arrived on Monday afternoon, that day was mostly devoted to driving here, and mostly going a few places nearby here, like Trader Joe’s and the grocery store.
Tuesday was downtown day, if you will. We parked at Pacific Place and walked around downtown. We went to the new central library that everyone is so enthusiastic about, the Bank of America tower, a couple other tall buildings and went down to the waterfront. I showed Jesse the bus tunnel (imagine a bunch of underground stations just like a subway…but with electrified buses instead of trains). We came back here and had thai food from the best thai restaurant I’ve ever been to, rented several movies and then headed home. We watched Run Lola Run (Lola Rennt), which really is better the way I saw it. I rented it after having seen the last part, which is going through the repeated stories with different decisions. But seeing the whole movie…its kind of not as good. Plus, if I was going to show it on tv, there are parts that are not so good, that could be edited out without missing an important part of the story.
Wednesday was devoted to picking up my laptop. We went to Bellevue to meet my aunt, who was holding the laptop for me. We saw the Bourne Supremacy (which was pretty good, if I may say so myself) and went to CPK. Then we wandered around Bellevue Square mall for about two hours while we waited for traffic to calm down so my aunt could go back home. Upon leaving the mall, I took Jesse through Medina, and past the area where Bill Gates’ house is. We drove over the 520 floating bridge and headed for home. Upon our arrival…there was a lot of box opening and drooling…mmm, powerbook.
So, that’s most of what we did, at least an overview, from the first three days of Jesse’s visit here to the puget sound area.
Right now, as I finish this post, its raining. How typical. At least Jesse is enthusiastic about it.
