in other news, i’ve been doing nothing recently. alright, that’s a huge lie. i’ve been working 4 days a week during this holiday season, and going to school 2. how many days off does that leave? oh, that’s right… one.

i am tired of school now, but not nearly as tired of it as i usually am (when i am taking actual academic classes). i enjoy playing guitar a lot, but the class is only bearable because i’ve made a friend, who just happens to be moving back to north carolina in two weeks. ah well. one of these days, i am going to become rich, and travel around the world, and visit all my friends, like “jesper”:http://wootest.net/newwaffle/, and “d”:http://waferbaby.com. i badly want to visit japan and all of europe.

i also want to live in sweden for a year or so, a) because i can (dual citizenship rocks), b) so i can get to know my cousins better, and c) so i can become a fluent speaker. come on apple, open up a store in sweden so i can request a transfer and study abroad.

“sean”:http://xanga.com/cyberknots slept over on tuesday night. the day after, i hung out with him and “ester”:http://xanga.com/arachnophilia. we had apple cider, scrambled eggs, bagels, and scones for breakfast. i cooked the scrambled eggs (ok, so i was aiming for fried eggs and failed) and prepared the cider.

after sean left us, ester posted and introduced me to an album that she’d been searching for for a year or so called “retreat from the sun” by “that dog.” we tried to find it on p2p networks to no avail, but just as we were losing hope, i had the bright idea to do a search on the itunes music store, and lo and behold, there it was. she was in heaven just listening to thirty second clips and said that it would be enough for her, but i convinced her to split the cost with me and we downloaded it, along with the included album art. i printed the album art on mom’s printer and meticulously cut it out and inserted it into a jewel case for her.

the album kicks some serious ass.

yesterday was good.

i hung out with j.lou and “lindsay”:http://eyink.com/blog a few weeks ago. it was awesome. i wrote about it on the back of a piece of paper and left it in my bag somewhere. i’m not sure if it’s still there, but i’m currently lying in bed listening to diana krall, and i’m not feeling much motivation to get up and look for it right now.

i need to find the book i am reading, “east of eden” by steinbeck. i keep getting these huge urges to read it and can’t for my life figure out where i put the damn thing. i might have to crack and actually do a thorough search for it. i haven’t yet checked the cars, which is usually where things are if they haven’t turned up on their own in about two weeks time.

a few hours later: i am listening to “baby, it’s cold outside” (performed by ella fitzgerald and louis jordan. brilliant.) and figuring out my class schedule for next semester. hell.
